Basketball Game Preview: Greeneville Greene Devils vs. Sullivan East Patriots

The Greeneville Greene Devils will head out on the road to take on the Sullivan East Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Greeneville is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Sevier County on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Greene Devils lost 73-50 to the Smoky Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Greene Devils have suffered since January 13th.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brylee Tullock, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Julia Woolsey was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Sullivan East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 69-42 loss at the hands of West Ridge.

Greeneville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sullivan East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Greeneville against Sullivan East when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the team secured an 80-47 victory. Do the Greene Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
