Baseball Recap: Sudan Gets the Win

Sudan never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Ralls on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Jackrabbits by a score of 16-13. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Jackrabbits: they've now won seven in a row.

Caleb Groetken was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Sudan is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Groetken was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Sudan let Cal Carter and Haden Provence run wild. Carter went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Provence went 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Carter has posted since back in April of 2025. Miles Ledbetter was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Sudan's record now sits at 9-11. As for Ralls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Sudan nor Ralls have any future games scheduled.
