Recap: Mt. St. Joseph Academy Magic vs. Conestoga Pioneers
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-27, which was the final score in Mt. St. Joseph Academy's's tilt against Conestoga on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Mt. St. Joseph Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Conestoga is ranked sixth).
Conestoga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ruth Lanouette led the charge by scoring 15 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Lanouette scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryann Jennings, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Mt. St. Joseph Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Conestoga, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
