Mesa Vista and Penasco are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2021, but not for long. The Trojans will head out to challenge the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Penasco took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Mesa Vista, who comes in off a win.

Mesa Vista took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against McCurdy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 3-2 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Meanwhile, Penasco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against Escalante, falling 3-0.

Penasco took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 26-24.

Mesa Vista now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Penasco, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Everything went Mesa Vista's way against Penasco when the teams last played back in October, as Mesa Vista made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
