Baseball Recap: Stratford Academy Comes Up Short

Stratford Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-3 to the George Walton Academy Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 11-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Stratford Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Johnston, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Stratford Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for George Walton Academy, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5.

While Stratford Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
