Recap: Conifer Lobos vs. Alameda Pirates
The Conifer Lobos won against the Alameda Pirates on Tuesday with 34 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Conifer secured a 34-28 W over Alameda. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Conifer.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Conifer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bree Leslie, who scored 12 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Leslie has scored at least 25% of Conifer's points. Finley Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Alameda's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Claire To, who scored 8 points along with 13 steals and 5 rebounds, and Brianna Garcia-Torres who scored 11 points. Garcia-Torres scored a full 39.3% of Alameda's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Conifer's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Alameda, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Conifer will head out on the road to face off against Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alameda, they will be playing at home against Kennedy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
