With a playoff win on the line, Valley Christian rose to the challenge on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Safford Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Valley Christian was: they took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-5, 25-8.

Valley Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaydence Hirsch out in front who had seven digs and two aces. Hirsch is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Hirsch wasn't the only good servers: Valley Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive contests.

Valley Christian's record is now 31-10. As for Safford, they dropped their record down to 14-15 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Valley Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Florence on the 8th. Safford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
