Softball Game Preview: Brock Eagles vs. Graham Steers

The Brock Eagles will square off against the Graham Steers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Brock will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Brock barely beat Stephenville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees with a sharp 10-1 win on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Graham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Glen Rose 6-5 on Tuesday.

Graham pushed their record up to 10-11 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Brock, their victory bumped their record up to 22-0-2.

Brock took their win against Graham when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
