Football Game Preview: Wootton Patriots vs. Richard Montgomery Rockets + How To Watch

Wootton hasn't had much luck against Richard Montgomery recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Rockets at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Wootton turned things around against Magruder on Friday. They slipped by the Colonels 14-13.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Joshua Reid and Elijah Cullen. Reid rushed for 81 yards and two TDs while Cullen rushed for 79 yards. Those 79 rushing yards gave Cullen a new career-high.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Richard Montgomery, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down Wheaton 32-15 on Friday.

Richard Montgomery had a senior duo take command as Dylan Webster threw for 362 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes and Jaylen Garcia picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 77 yards.

Wootton's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Richard Montgomery, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
