Football Recap: Cochranton Cardinals vs. Eisenhower Knights
Cochranton lost against Eisenhower back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals lost 33-8 to the Knights. The Cardinals were down 20-0 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Noah Carroll threw for 205 yards and one TD. Brayden Williams was his top target, picking up 68 receiving yards.
Eisenhower had a senior duo take command as Caleb Jakubczak rushed for 162 yards and one score on only 14 carries and Logan Penley rushed for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 112 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Penley.
This is the second loss in a row for Cochranton and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Eisenhower, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
Cochranton will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cambridge Springs at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd. As for Eisenhower, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 48-6 victory against Union City on the 26th.
