Football Game Preview: Amherst Falcons vs. Lancaster Flying Arrows

The Amherst Falcons will challenge the Lancaster Flying Arrows at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Amherst will be strutting in after a victory while Lancaster will be coming in after a defeat.

Amherst is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Wittenberg-Birnamwood to the tune of 56-28 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lancaster didn't have quite enough to beat New Glarus on Friday and fell 21-18. The matchup marked the Flying Arrows' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Amherst's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Lancaster, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
