Winfield barely beat Herbert Hoover the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Generals were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Huskies on Thursday. Considering Winfield have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Winfield, bringing their record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Herbert Hoover, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winfield will head out to challenge St. Joseph Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Herbert Hoover, they will venture away from home to face off against Elkins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Elkins have yet to allow a single goal through four matchups this season, a streak Herbert Hoover will look to end.
