Football Recap: Andrew Jackson Finds Playoff Glory Versus Ninety Six + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Andrew Jackson had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Ninety Six Wildcats 34-15 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Volunteers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Andrew Jackson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jvon Kelly, who rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 74 receiving yards and one score. Those 108 rushing yards gave Kelly a new career-high. Logan Neal was another key signal caller, throwing for 212 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 88.2% of his passes.

Ninety Six's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carver Davis, who gained 124 total yards, and Joe Moore, who rushed for 115 yards and one score.

Andrew Jackson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.2 points over those games. As for Ninety Six, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Andrew Jackson will take on Fairfield Central on Friday. The Volunteers will need to watch out since the Griffins have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. Ninety Six does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
