Football Game Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Bison vs. Horizon Hawks + How To Watch

Horizon came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Vista PEAK Prep, but Tyrone Smiley wouldn't allow it. The Bison enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over the Hawks on Thursday thanks in part to Smiley, who rushed for 233 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.

Canaan Barthlow was another key player, throwing for 205 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Vista PEAK Prep's success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Despite the loss, Horizon still got an impressive performance from Xavier Hill, who picked up 60 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 54 yards.

Vista PEAK Prep's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Horizon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
