Basketball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tellico Plains Bears.

Tellico Plains' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophie Rohr led the charge by putting up 11 points. Another player making a difference was Lilli Wear, who posted 11 points.

Scott's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tellico Plains, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Scott and Tellico Plains will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Highlanders see the court they'll take on Harriman at 4:45 p.m. on the 30th. As for Tellico Plains, their break will end when they face Maryville at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
