Shelby is a perfect 6-0 against East Rutherford since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Golden Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Shelby comes in on four and East Rutherford on nine.
Shelby is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 70-14 victory over McMichael. The Golden Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Shelby found their leader in freshman Jonas Woods, who rushed for 153 yards and three TDs on only five carries. Those 153 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Woods. Lan Farmer was another key player, throwing for 158 yards and four touchdowns.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Shelby, racking up 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kendrick Jawon, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Shelby's defense and their 9.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Noah Gartner and Malachi Hopper, who racked up seven sacks between them. Gartner has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, East Rutherford made easy work of R-S Central two weeks ago and carried off a 38-14 win. The Cavaliers are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the eighth contest they've won by 20+ points this season.
Shelby better keep an eye on Brandon Pinkerton. He was instrumental in East Rutherford's win, rushing for 181 yards and five scores. Pinkerton also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
East Rutherford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 244 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.
Shelby's record is now 8-3. As for East Rutherford, their record now sits at 9-1.
