Softball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 11-8 to the Ida B. Wells Guardians. Even though they lost, the Falcons' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Rylee Mathews made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Kendall Allen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ida B. Wells, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Liberty will be playing at home against Woodburn at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ida B. Wells, they will host Estacada at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
