Baseball Game Preview: Frazier Commodores vs. Avella Eagles

The Frazier Commodores will head out to face off against the Avella Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Frazier turned things around against Monessen on Thursday. They blew past the Greyhounds 11-4.

Logan Solomon looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Fulmer, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Brant Alekson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Avella got the win against Jeannette on Wednesday by a conclusive 15-3. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jayhawks: they've now won four in a row.

The victory got Frazier back to even at 5-5. As for Avella, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
