Football Game Preview: St. Genevieve Valiants vs. St. Bernard Vikings + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Michael Wynn and Gary Ferguson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The St. Genevieve Valiants will be playing at home against the St. Bernard Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Genevieve will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

St. Genevieve had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 29-point drubbing they dealt Oakmont on Friday. The Valiants blew past the Vikings 42-13. Considering the Valiants have won four games by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Genevieve's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Gonzalez led the charge by rushing for 66 yards and one score on only eight carries. Eric Perez did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Knights a 17-0 shutout.

St. Genevieve's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for St. Bernard, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for St. Genevieve against St. Bernard in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 46-14 win. Do the Valiants have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
