Given Kosciusko's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Yazoo County is ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kosciusko's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Tillman, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. Tillman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaybre Pierce, who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds and 3 steals.
Kosciusko now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Yazoo County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
