Riverview Sarasota falls despite strong effort from Susan Lowther

After a string of five wins, the Riverview Sarasota Rams's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell to Cardinal Mooney 53-47. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Riverview Sarasota of the 68-43 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Riverview Sarasota lost, one person who can't be blamed is Susan Lowther. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Lowther hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Sims, who scored 14 points.

Cardinal Mooney's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sy?Monique Simon, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Madi Mignery, who scored 12 points.

Riverview Sarasota's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-3. As for Cardinal Mooney, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.
