Soccer Recap: Fremd Comes Up Short

Fremd was the 5-1 winner over Hersey when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 1-0 on Saturday.

Fremd's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-4. As for Hersey, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6-2.

Fremd and Hersey should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Vikings (ranked 43rd) will meet Conant (ranked 197th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hersey will square off against Rolling Meadows at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (50 vs. 156).
