Game recap: Hotchkiss High School Football Team beats Lake County

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Devan Rupe to Hank Edwards in the first quarter, Hotchkiss (Colo.) was up 34-6 at the half.

The Bulldogs expanded their lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. Hotchkiss scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Duncan Turnbull.

Hotchkiss' standout player in the win was Rupe. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.

The win brought Hotchkiss' winning streak to four games.

Hotchkiss (5-1) will play a 1A Western Slope game against Roaring Fork next week, while Lake County (0-6) will take on Paonia also in a 1A Western Slope game.
