Volleyball Preview: New Orleans Charter Science & Math Chambered Nautilus vs. Young Audiences Yacs
New Orleans Charter Science & Math is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, they and the Young Audiences Yacs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:30 p.m. New Orleans Charter Science & Math is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Young Audiences won the last time they faced Jefferson RISE Charter and Kyra Harriet did her part to make sure it happened again. The Yacs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Jefferson RISE Charter on Tuesday with plenty of help from Harriet, who had 12 kills and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last three games she's played.
While Young Audiences won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 25-19.
New Orleans Charter Science & Math's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Young Audiences, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
New Orleans Charter Science & Math was able to grind out a solid victory over Young Audiences when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1.
