Volleyball Recap: Vermillion Comes Up Short

If Vermillion was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Beresford on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tanagers lost 3-0 to the Dakota Valley Panthers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tanagers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-7, 25-11.

Vermillion has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Dakota Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-3 record this season.

Vermillion will square off against Parker/Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dakota Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
