Football Recap: Cranston West Beats Barrington for Their Third Straight Victory

Cranston West extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Mehkhai Taylor. The Falcons came out on top against the Barrington Eagles by a score of 14-7 on Friday with plenty of help from Taylor, who rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Cranston West's defense made their presence known, laying out Griffin Ingram three times. Roman Duarte was especially locked on to Barrington's QB and sacked him twice. Duarte also made five total tackles, which is notable because Cranston West is 2-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

The victory got Cranston West back to even at 3-3. As for Barrington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
