Baseball Recap: University School Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tennessee, University School was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Johnson County Longhorns. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 two weeks ago.

University School is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Johnson County, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

Coming up, University School will square off against West Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Buccaneers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Johnson County, they will challenge Cloudland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Longhorns are facing the Highlanders at the right time seeing as the Highlanders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
