Basketball Recap: Windward Snaps 13-Game Streak of Wins at Home

On Monday, Windward faced Brentwood School in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Windward Wildcats took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brentwood School Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (57), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Windward's defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-5. As for Brentwood School, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windward won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Viewpoint at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Viewpoint knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Windward likes a good challenge. As for Brentwood School, they and Crossroads will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
