Rayne won the last time they faced St. Martinville and things went their way on Friday too. The Rayne Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the St. Martinville Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Rayne got a great performance from Caydon Stakes as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rylan Fontenot, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Destin Granger also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Rayne's record is now 5-2. As for St. Martinville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Coincidentally, Rayne and St. Martinville will both be playing Lacassine the next time they take the field. St. Martinville will host Lacassine at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while Rayne will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
