Parkland falls despite strong effort from Joshua Moore

Recap: Parkland Mustangs vs. Mount Tabor Spartans

The Parkland Mustangs suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 73-53 loss at the hands of Mount Tabor. Parkland has struggled against Mount Tabor recently, as their match on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Parkland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joshua Moore. Despite the final result, he scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Moore has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of SaMaurie Moses, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Parkland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Mount Tabor, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Parkland will head out on the road to face off against Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Glenn is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Mount Tabor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Forsyth at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. West Forsyth has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
