Salida has gone a perfect 4-0 against Peyton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Panthers at 7:45 p.m.

On Thursday, Salida was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 66-62 to Sanford.

Meanwhile, Peyton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Manitou Springs by a score of 51-42 on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Peyton's win came from a few key players Salida will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Michael Perry, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten assists. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rebounds (seven). Bryce Love was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards.

Peyton was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manitou Springs only posted six.

Salida strolled past Peyton in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 72-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
