Flag Football Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Piedmont and Cuthbertson squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Piedmont had to settle for second. They fell 24-12 to the Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina flag football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Cavaliers are ranked fifth).

Piedmont has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points on average over those games. As for Cuthbertson, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Piedmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cuthbertson, they have already played their next contest, a 12-6 win against Marvin Ridge on the 12th.
