Soccer Game Preview: Central Wisconsin Christian vs. Lourdes/Valley Christian

The Central Wisconsin Christian Crusaders will head out on the road to take on the Lourdes/Valley Christian Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Central Wisconsin Christian will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Monday, then bounced right back against Wayland Academy on Thursday. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Big Red with a sharp 7-2 win. Central Wisconsin Christian haven't had any issues with Wayland Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Lourdes/Valley Christian got the win against Clintonville on Saturday by a conclusive 6-1. Given Lourdes/Valley Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Clintonville are ranked 205th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lourdes/Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-0-1. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10-1.

Central Wisconsin Christian took their win against Lourdes/Valley Christian in their previous matchup back in September of 2022 by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
