Salem unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Rockdale County Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Seminoles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Rockdale County now has a winning record of 1-0-1.

Coming up, Salem will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rockdale County, they will head out to take on Newton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
