Baseball Recap: Northview Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Northview was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell 4-1 to the St. Francis de Sales Knights. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 8-4 to the Knights when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nick Schantz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Northview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Northview now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. Francis de Sales, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Northview and St. Francis de Sales will both be playing Bowling Green the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Knights will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
