Basketball Game Preview: Healdsburg Greyhounds vs. Credo Gryphon

The Healdsburg Greyhounds will face off against the Credo Gryphon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Credo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Healdsburg, who comes in off a win.

Healdsburg is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Wednesday. They blew past Fort Bragg 64-43.

Healdsburg's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Teague Jasper, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, and Henry Smith, who shot 46% from the field en route to 13 points along with seven steals and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in blocks (two). Vincenzo Loupy was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Credo kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by College Prep 71-23. The Gryphon have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Everything came up roses for Healdsburg against Credo in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, as the squad secured an 82-44 win. Do the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gryphon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
