Basketball Game Preview: Blacklick Valley Vikings vs. Harmony Area Owls

Blacklick Valley and Harmony Area are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Blacklick Valley Vikings just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Harmony Area Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Blacklick Valley was beaten by North Star 57-22. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Harmony Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 58-34 to Ferndale. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Owls have suffered against the Yellow Jackets since December 10, 2016.

This is the second loss in a row for Blacklick Valley and nudges their season record down to 9-9. As for Harmony Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Blacklick Valley strolled past Harmony Area when the teams last played on January 8th by a score of 62-44. Does Blacklick Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harmony Area turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
