Football Game Preview: Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights vs. John Paul II Guardians

The Knights simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Centurions 57-12. The game marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season.

Jack Young had a dynamite game, throwing for 175 yards and three TDs on perfect 10-for-10 passing, while also rushing for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1).

Hill Country Christian School of Austin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ty Vacek and Canon Conner.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 46 points the game before, John Paul II was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 47-0 loss at the hands of Holy Cross. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Guardians were not able to get on the board.

John Paul II's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Hill Country Christian School of Austin against John Paul II when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 58-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
