Baseball Recap: Aaden Lopez Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Dysart

Crismon put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Dysart Demons a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Rattlers have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kenny Wilsford made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game.

In other batting news, Aaden Lopez was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Crismon is undefeated when Lopez posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Preston Hammond was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-2.

Crismon's record is now 6-2. As for Dysart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Crismon will square off against Gunnison at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Crismon's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Gunnison's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dysart, they will take on Combs at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Dysart is facing Combs at the right time seeing as Combs is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
