Soccer Recap: Marist Takes a Loss

Marist was the 1-0 winner over Hinsdale South when they last played one another back in August of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The RedHawks fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Marist have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Benji Flores and Jack Heidemann scored both of Marist's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Marist's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hinsdale South, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Marist will take on Hancock in a tournament on Saturday. As for Hinsdale South, they will be taking part in a tournament against Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
