Football Recap: David Anderson Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact David Anderson can now relate to. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Canton Hornets on Friday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Canton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dillon Anderson, who rushed for 90 yards and two TDs. Anderson was even better on defense, picking up a sack and making 16 total tackles. Another receiver making a difference was Aydan Stephens, who picked up 122 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

David Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for East Canton, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

David Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Canton, they will head out to take on Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hornets 12.5, the Skippers 9.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
