Soccer Game Preview: Pace Academy vs. Forest Park

The Pace Academy Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Forest Park Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pace Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Lambert on Monday. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Longhorns are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Forest Park beat Mays 3-1 on Friday.

Yamilet Mendez and Ava Lopez scored all three of Forest Park's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

The loss snapped Pace Academy's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-3 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those three games. As for Forest Park, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
