Softball Recap: Beaverhead County Starts off Right with Win over East Helena

Beaverhead County had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the East Helena Vigilantes with a sharp 19-2 victory.

Adyson Creighton made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Creighton was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Beaverhead County got a massive performance out of Tyler Gibson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Bridget Lovaas was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Beaverhead County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Helena only posted an OBP of .429.

Beaverhead County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Helena, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Billings Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be East Helena's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
