Baseball Recap: Cleveland Wins Going Away Against Faith Christian

Cleveland saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past the Faith Christian Patriots 9-1. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Cleveland let Aubrey Stanley and Thad Parker run wild. Stanley went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while Parker scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most RBI Stanley has posted since back in March. Brayden McArthur was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Cleveland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Cleveland and bumps their season record up to 10-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Faith Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

Cleveland will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Garner at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Faith Christian, they will take on Raleigh HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
