Hubbard hasn't had much luck against Lakeview recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Hubbard will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Hubbard will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Girard, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles came out on top against the Indians by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
While Hubbard might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Girard scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 27-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-21.

Hubbard can attribute much of their success to Emma TEtrick, who had 17 digs, and Sarah Brand, who had 13 digs. That's the most digs TeTrick has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of HaleigH Taylor, who had 12 digs.
Hubbard was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 10-2 when they serve at least ten aces.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lakeview and Boardman meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Spartans.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 23-25, 25-12, 25-22.
Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Hubbard, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Hubbard has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 12.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Lakeview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
