Baseball Game Preview: Highland Tech Rams vs. West Lincoln Rebels

The Highland Tech Rams will square off against the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Highland Tech took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against West Lincoln, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Rebels 4-3 on Tuesday.

Coleman Schafer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Highland Tech's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Lunsford, who went 1-for-4 with one run. That run marked the first that Lunsford has scored this season.

Highland Tech's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for West Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
