Football Game Preview: Quinter Bulldogs vs. Trego Golden Eagles

Quinter is 0-3 against Trego since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Quinter has given up an average of 33.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Quinter's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Wichita County on Friday. They were outmatched by the Indians and fell 50-0. Considering the last time the Bulldogs couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Trego strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past LaCrosse 48-0. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 46 points or more this season.

Trego's win came from a few key players Quinter will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jack Conness, who rushed for 45 yards and a pair of TDs. Conness is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Ashton Wynn got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Trego's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Quinter, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Quinter took a serious blow against Trego in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 48-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Conness, who rushed for 54 yards and four touchdowns.
