Basketball Recap: North Central's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

North Central won the last time they faced Gregory and things went their way on Saturday too. The North Central Knights enjoyed a cozy 43-29 victory over the Gregory Gorillas. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

North Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mya Lewis, who posted ten points along with seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlene Kepler, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Gregory, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

North Central and Loomis will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. North Central is facing Loomis at the right time seeing as Loomis is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Gregory, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Andes Central/Dakota Christian at 7:45 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
