Osceola took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Poinciana Eagles a 15-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Kowboys in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.
Milanys Lopez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Lopez was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Destiny Ferrer was incredible, going a perfect3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, she also posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Pritti Rodriguez was another key player, going a perfect2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Osceola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poinciana only posted an OBP of .471.
Looking ahead, Osceola will square off against East Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poinciana, they will challenge Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
