Volleyball Recap: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Lyons Lions
Metea Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Lyons Lions. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12.
Julia Ahrens was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last five contests. Taylor Carroll also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Metea Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Lyons, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
